information about accommodation in Oxford

host families or help arranging house shares

Oxford is a wonderful city to live in and with its student focus, it is ideal for accommodating people for short and long durations.

We are happy to help you arrange homestay accommodation.

Homestay accommodation

Season Price/week
January to May and October to April £150
June to September £180

Price/week = half-board (bed, breakfast and dinner). Homestay accommodation is with a British-speaking family.

If you would like to organise your own accommodation in a house or flat share, please have a look at the following local websites for information:

Daily Info and Gumtree. Please note that although Kheiron cannot take full responsibility for these websites, we can say that some current and previous students have found them to be useful with regards to accommodation.

Accommodation for individuals

· Minimum age for students is 16. But for students under 18, accommodation and safeguarding outside the school will be entirely the responsibility of the contracting parent or guardian and will not be provided by Kheiron.
· Lunch is not provided within the cost above and the student would be expected to purchase and obtain their own lunch. There are a number of suitable cafes in the neighbourhood.
· The cost is up to £180/week. Homestay is only available for students aged 18 years or older. Younger students will be expected to have their own arrangements made for accommodation.
· Homestay accommodation with an English-speaking family in Oxford with breakfast and dinner provided each day and with lunch also offered at the weekend excluding days of arrival and departure. Not more than four students will be accommodated with a single Homestay family except by prior agreement with the students.

We are here to help if you need any help with careers, CVs or application forms. In the past, Kheiron worked with Nextstep to offer a free career service to students.

We are hoping to start this again soon.

We have helped many students to get good jobs in Oxford which use their qualifications from their home country.

Unemployment is difficult at the moment in Oxford. Please see our video link about this subject and how Kheiron can help.
